St. Michael's Church
King George V Road, Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Project:
The building has been designed in conjunction with a commercial development in Amersham town centre, and to replace the existing church of St Michaels, which proved inadequate to meet the requirements of the lively and expanding parish. Externally, the building draws upon the local vernacular tradition, combined with strong geometric forms. The result is a bold architectural statement, sensitive to the spiritual dimension of its use, standing proudly within the community.
